There is a need to reform our country Bharat(India) and I am starting the movement to achieve this because at one point someone has to actually start doing something about it so why not today, right now??
There are many things need to be done in order to achieve this however
Following systems/services/authorities are desperately in need of reform;
- Police department
- Judicial system
- Basic infrastructure (Roads, Water and sewage)
- Transportation (By road(traffic management), by rail, by air, by water, others)
- Electricity (Generation and distribution)
If we can fix these systems/services/authorities we can easily make our way in reforming the country! Obviously without self-reform it will not happen but apart from that what else we can do to fix this?
Every single proud and sensible Bharatiy(Indian) should take part in this movement to reform our country and make it a better place to live and prosper.
Please suggest the
1. PROBLEMS……within above systems/services and,
2. SOLUTIONS…… to overcome these problems
3. How to make it happen?
For example,
PROBLEM: High number of road accidents, No driving sense.
SOLUTION: Implementation of strict driving test before issuing Driving license
HOW TO? Cover/Record the current driving test examination procedure and make it public by TV-media or Web-media and force government to conduct strict driving test.
Any suggestion is welcome and valuable!
Please keep it short and simple (No matter you are a really good writer but we don’t have time to read your lengthy essays).
Please use the common words which are in daily usage. We are interested in communication and not in your linguistic ability!
You can use any language to communicate.
Thanks you for your time and effort.
Have a good day!

Much to ponder. Will have to gather my thoughts and come back here.
My first thought for now is this...
I like this idea of a clearing house of ideas/complaints/opinions. Brain storming works. Sometimes the most seemingly outrageous of ideas leads to great things. On an individual level your blog may do that for numerous people.
I wish the government itself had a website/Postbox/suggestion line where citizens can give forth thier ideas. A central clearing house sort of thing. This way you wouldnt have to write the same thing to 25 different buereucrats and thier peons. Every citizen should be able to call a number or write to a email address to write a complaint or a suggestion. NYC has one of those and it is very successful. Quality of life complaints and suggestions go 311. Emergencies go to another 911 number. These numbers are well publicised and even on 311 they call you back in 24 hours. The response for 911 is immediate.

Hi,
Delurked here from Shobha de's blog. I am of the same opinion. We have to the change that we want to see.
Lets take a pledge that we will not encourage corruption, in whatever form it is, and let us enter politics. Can we mobilise the youth of the country to stand up and float a party?
agree...
forming a party will be on agenda however i still need to wait for couple of years to be qualified as a contestant
Didn't some IITians start some political party?
contd...
PROBLEM: High number of road accidents, No driving sense.
SOLUTION 2: Active patrolling of all the roads is a must. The existing traffic police naps 24x7 and should be forced to be all over the city.
SOLUTION 3: Incur hefty fines from violators. Rich people and politicians for whom money isn't a problem should be made to do community service.
Community service examples(contd):
1. Sweep roads.
2. Work at old age homes.
3. Work in hospitals.
4. Public restrooms cleaning(perhaps this is too much. Is it?)
Dead already?
This is what is wrong with u ppl...
plz spread the word!

The solution to everything is proper education.
The biggest problem with India is hypocrisy.
And nothing will change until we cure the cause.... the roots !
